Description of the Creature
All witnesses described a remarkably similar creature:
Height: 3 to 4 feet tall.
Head: Disproportionately large, ovoid (watermelon-shaped), with no visible ears, nose, or mouth.

Seventeen-year-old Bill Bartlett was driving with friends when his headlights illuminated a small humanoid creeping along a broken stone wall. He drew a famous sketch of the creature shortly after and wrote on it: "I, Bill Bartlett, swear on a stack of Bibles that I saw this creature."

Roughly two hours later, 15-year-old John Baxter was walking home when he saw a small figure approaching him. When he stepped toward it, the creature fled down a gully and stood silhouetted against a tree about 30 feet away before Baxter retreated.

Roughly 24 hours after the first sighting, 15-year-old Abby Brabham was being driven home by her boyfriend when she saw a hairless, monkey-like creature with glowing eyes sitting on all fours near a bridge.
Investigation and Aftermath
When mapped out, the three sightings formed a straight line spanning roughly two miles across Dover.
Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman investigated the reports shortly after they occurred, interviewing the teens and coining the name "Dover Demon." Investigators noted that the teenagers did not know each other well, were considered credible by local police, and drew nearly identical sketches independently.
