The Bennington Triangle is a colloquial term coined by Vermont author and folklorist Joseph A. Citro in 1992 to describe a region of southwestern Vermont centered around Glastenbury Mountain and the surrounding towns of Bennington, Woodford, Shaftsbury, and Somerset. The area gained national notoriety following a series of unexplained disappearances between 1945 and 1950.
