Documentation rating: C
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Boston Common and the adjacent Central Burying Ground combine some of Boston's oldest documented history with enduring ghost folklore. The Common witnessed public executions, military encampments, and centuries of civic life, while the cemetery became a final resting place for thousands of poor residents, immigrants, soldiers, and strangers. Today, reports of apparitions, voices, and unexplained encounters remain part of the site's legend.
