Case: GG-2026-106
Status: Active
Documentation rating: C
Location: Honey Island, Louisiana
The Honey Island Swamp Monster is one of the most famous cryptid legends of the American South. Associated with the vast wetlands of Honey Island Swamp in southeastern Louisiana, witnesses have reported encounters with a large hairy humanoid creature since at least the mid-twentieth century. Descriptions resemble a swamp-dwelling Bigfoot-like animal. Despite footprints, eyewitness accounts, and decades of investigation, no conclusive evidence has verified its existence.
