LIVE SHOW CALLER GUIDELINES & ETIQUETTE

Welcome to the live call-in queue for The Gothic Graveyard Network. We want thoughtful, clear, and respectful voices on the air.

Before you join the queue, please read and follow these guidelines:

1. AUDIO & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
* MUTE ANY LIVE STREAM: As soon as you enter the caller queue, mute YouTube, Twitch, or any other stream you are watching. The stream runs on a 7–10 second delay. Listening to it while on air causes severe feedback and confusion. Listen and speak only through Discord.
* USE HEADPHONES: Do not use open speakers or phone speakerphones. Headphones are required to prevent echo.
* CHECK YOUR MIC: Make sure your input is clear and free of loud background noise (fans, TVs, family chatter). Push-to-talk is strongly recommended in a noisy space.

2. ON-AIR ETIQUETTE
* INTRODUCE YOURSELF BRIEFLY: State your first name (or alias/handle) and general location (e.g., “Peter from Salem”). Do not share sensitive personal information (full legal names, addresses, employers).
* GET TO THE POINT: Keep your opening background under about 2 minutes so we can get into the case, history, or phenomenon with you. The host may interrupt to keep the show moving — that is normal, not a slight.
* STAY GROUNDED & RESPECTFUL: Open-minded exploration and honest disagreement are welcome. Personal attacks, aggressive hostility, and shouting are not.
* IF YOU ARE WAITING: Stay in the Caller Waiting Room and keep your mic muted. Do not spam-ping the host or producer. If you do not get on tonight, you can still submit a tip or case on the site.
* HAVE YOUR DETAILS READY: If you are sharing a tip or experience, know your rough dates, location, and what you actually saw or heard before you go on air.

3. BROADCAST SAFETY & ZERO-TOLERANCE RULES
* NO HATE SPEECH OR HARASSMENT: Slurs, harassment, hate speech, or sustained personal attacks will get an immediate line cut and can result in a permanent server ban.
* PROFANITY: Keep it clean for the stream. A slip may get a warning or a cut; repeated or aggressive swearing will get you dropped.
* NO PARTISAN RANTING: Disclosure, whistleblowers, and conspiracy talk are fine when that is the topic. Pure political rage-bait is not.
* NO DOXXING OR UNVERIFIED ALLEGATIONS: Do not name living private individuals, give private property addresses without permission, or make unverified criminal claims against specific people on air.
* DUMP BUTTON POLICY: The host may cut audio or drop a caller at any time to protect the stream and the broadcast.

HOW THE QUEUE WORKS
1. Mute any live stream you are watching.
2. Join the “🔊 Caller Waiting Room” voice channel.
3. Keep your microphone muted until the host/producer moves you to the “🔴 On Air” stage.
4. When the host addresses you, take a breath, speak clearly, and enjoy the conversation.
