On 29 December 1991, The Week, a Walworth County newspaper, printed two accounts of a wolfish animal on Bray Road, outside Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Lorianne Endrizzi, then unnamed, said that about two years earlier she had passed a kneeling, brownish-gray creature the size of a man, eating roadkill by the Bray farm. Doris Gipson, a high school student, said that on Halloween 1991 she hit something in the fog near Sitler Road, got out, and was charged by a large hairy animal that struck the trunk of her car.
