The Lubbock Lights are among the most famous mass-witness UFO cases of the early Cold War era. Beginning on August 25, 1951, multiple residents of Lubbock, Texas, including several professors from Texas Technological College (now Texas Tech University), reported observing formations of blue-green lights moving silently overhead. Photographs were later obtained, the U.S. Air Force investigated, and the case became one of the best-known incidents associated with Project Blue Book.
