The Valensole Encounter is one of the most famous close-encounter cases in European UFO history. On July 1, 1965, farmer Maurice Masse reported observing an unusual egg-shaped craft and two small humanoid beings in a lavender field near Valensole, France. The incident was investigated by French authorities and later UFO researchers. Physical traces were reportedly found at the site, but no consensus explanation has ever been established.
