Gothic.Black Submission and Publication Policy

Website page draft | Version 1.0 | September 17, 2026

This page explains what happens when a visitor submits a paranormal report, evidence, case update, historical suggestion, research, show idea, guest recommendation, or other inquiry.

Submission Does Not Equal Publication

Every submission enters a moderation queue. Gothic.Black may request clarification, hold the submission privately, decline publication, publish only part of the submission, redact identifying information, or link the material to an existing case.

Required Permissions

• The submitter understands that a submission may be reviewed and may be published on Gothic.Black.

• The submitter confirms ownership of submitted content or authority to share it.

• Permission to discuss material on the site or show is collected separately.

• Willingness to be interviewed is separate from permission to publish or discuss a submission.

Publication Review

Moderators consider account basis, date and location, source traceability, evidence provenance, privacy, potential harm, identifiable accusations, rights, relevance, and whether the submission can be accurately represented.

Accusations and Identifiable Subjects

Reports accusing an identifiable person, organization, property owner, investigator, or business of criminal, abusive, deceptive, dangerous, or unethical conduct receive heightened review. Gothic.Black may remove names, generalize locations, seek documentation, invite a response, hold material privately, decline publication, or publish only the non-accusatory portion.

Not an Emergency or Professional Service

Gothic.Black is not a substitute for police, emergency services, medical care, crisis assistance, or legal representation.

Copyright and Links

A link to media does not grant Gothic.Black permission to copy, host, or republish it. When rights are unclear, Gothic.Black may link to the lawful source rather than reproduce the material.

Forum Publication

When an accepted case creates a forum topic, the forum topic is for community discussion. The case page remains the maintained archival record. Forum claims are not automatically verified or adopted.

Withdrawal and Privacy Changes

A submitter may request a correction, privacy adjustment, or withdrawal. Gothic.Black will evaluate the request against confidentiality commitments, legal obligations, archival integrity, public-interest considerations, and whether the material has already been incorporated into a broader historical record.
