Case: GG-2026-139
Status: Historic
Documentation rating: A
Location: Flannan Isles, Scotland
The Flannan Isles Lighthouse Disappearance concerns the unexplained vanishing of three lighthouse keepers stationed on Eilean Mòr in December 1900. When the relief vessel Hesperus arrived on December 26, all three men had disappeared without explanation. The lighthouse appeared largely orderly, essential duties had recently been completed, and no trace of the keepers was found despite extensive searches. The incident remains one of the most famous maritime mysteries in British history.
