Around 11 p.m. on 21 August 1955, two carloads of adults and children pulled up at the Hopkinsville police station. One car had Pennsylvania plates. They said they had been fighting little men at a farmhouse near Kelly for nearly four hours, and they asked for help. City police, state troopers, a deputy sheriff, and military police from Fort Campbell went out. They found a hole in a window screen, no tracks, and no mark where a craft was said to have landed.
